Zhejiang zhebei pharmaceutical co. Ltd,(zjdl)amediumsizedmajorkey enterprise in zhejiang medicial industry. It is located nearby the grand canal in deqing county with hangzhou-jiaxing-huzhou plain known as the 'home of silk and land of fish and rice' where there is convenient in transportation by land and water. The factory occupies an area of 40,000m2 with fixed assets of over 30 million yuan rmb. There are altogether more than 200 employees at present, among them engineers and techniciens account for 18.3%. Zjdl has four production lines: Tablets production line, oral liquid production line, chemical synthesis production line and fermentation production lines with tonnage of 250 tons. The main products are: Raw pharmaceuticals, medical intermediate including acarbose saltmacine yeast extract etc. Altogether more then 15 varieties. These drugs are supplied to meet the needs of domestic medicialmarket and also are exported to USA, england, south koria and other countries and regions. In the factory there is a quality control center equipped with the advanced testing and measuring instrumentation in accordance with the pharmacopoeia standards in order to inspect the quality of raw pharmaceticals and finished products. In 1996 an additional capital of 12 millon yuan rmb was invested in zjdl to build new production lines of powder for injection and infusions according to gmp requirement and the acceptance of these production lines was carried out by zhejiang provincial medicinal bureau. In order to promote production by scientific research and benefit from science and technology, zjdl has established a joint entity with fudan university. A long-time close cooperation has also been made between our factory and shanghai industrial microorganism institute, east china institute of chemical technology and east china teachers university.
