hardware is a high-speed MCU-controlled data processing unit, it can communicate with the Auto-Palm and the operating target. DB9-female is used to connect the main
hardware to the Auto-Palm. DB9-male is used to connect the main
hardware to the target OBD
socket.Adapter-Connector is used to connect the main
hardware to the target
adapter.Led-Indicators are used to indicate the operating state of the main hardware,while the red
led indicates �power on�, the green
led indicates �busy�, and theyellow
led indicates �error�.Power-Connector is used to supply 12VDC to the system.USB-PORT is for later use.ODOMETER ADJUSTMENT Click the �ODOMETER� button on the main window (Figure 1), you will see the window as Figure 3, choose �Adapter� or �OBD�, click �OK� button, you will see the make list window (Figure 4), select make such as �VOLVO� and double click, mode list window appears as Figure 5, double click on a model such as �S80 112PIN 3K91D�, you will see the help window as Figure 6, click �Connect Picture�, you can see a color
picture which show you how to connect a proper
adapter to the target odometer

picture so that Figure 1 you can see it more clearly (Figure 8); after connecting the
adapter and the target odometer
pcb correctly, you can
plug the
adapter into the Adapter-Connector of the main
hardware (Cautions: On the Adapter- Connector of main
hardware and each Adapters, there is a little white arrow,
plug the Adapter to the main
hardware along the arrow side, and arrow direction is face to face), then click �OK� button, the odometer adjustment window appears as Figure 9, in this window you can read current km by �Read KM� button, backup data by �Backup� button, and recover your backuped data to the target odometer by �Recovery� button. Before making adjustment you should backup data first, click �Backup� button, the current data of the odometer is automatically saved to the �ResidentFlash/ userdata� directory. After you backup data, a new window with �Write KM� button appears (Figure 2), click �Write KM� button and input a new km in Figure 3, then click �OK� button and wait a moment the adjustment operation is finished. Notes: l BSI unit adjusting. Before adjusting some odometers,you have to reset BSI unit first, such as �peugeot 307�,you should select �BSI� and reset the km to zero, then adjust the km of odometer. See Figures. LCM/ EWS/ CAS unit adjusting.Before adjusting some BMW odometers you have to reset the km in LCM/ EWS/ CAS unit first, this operation is similar to odometer adjustment. See Pictures OBD and Adapter selection, some
cars have two adjustment methods, one is by OBD connector, the other is by Adapter. You should choose OBD method firstly, because this method is more convenient and safe than the other. AIRBAG RESET Click the �AIRBAG� button on the main window, you will see the airbag reset window,select make and model, then repair (Figure 17). In OBD operation you can do crash data clear and data mistake repair. See Figure 18 Figure 18 Figure 19 IMMO CODE READER Click the �IMMO� button on the main window, you will see the immo code reading window,select make and model, then read immo code. See Figure 19. Notes: Some IMMO code can be read by odometer adjustment OBD operations. See Figure 19.Some IMMO can not be read, what you can only do is to disable the immo funtion by writing eeprom of

radio code. See Figure 21 PROGRAMMER The programmer function of Dataspecialist is powerful, you can use it to do what you want. Click the �PROG.� button on the main window, you will enter the programmer window. Establish a new file or open an old file, select
