Located in Zhangjiang High-tech Park , Shanghai , the building of Shanghai Tauto Biotech Co., Ltd. occupies a 2-hectare floor space and boasts a building area of 20,000 square meters. The total investment of the company is RMB 60 millions. The company is derived from the Shenzhen Tauto biotech, which was founded in Feb, 1999 at the Tsinghua Academe in Shenzhen. Echoing the enforcing of the policy of focus the resources on the development of Zhangjiang, the main body of the Shenzhen Tauto Biotech, the research and the production staffs moved into Zhangjiang High-tech Park so as to make a better use of the development platform of the Pharmaceutical Valley.
We are focused on the R&D and production of High Speed Countercurrent Chromatography (HSCCC), highly purified APIs and bulk drugs of natural products. As the domestic HSCCC market leader and patent owner of Multi-Partitioning-Column-HSCCC design, we keep a long-term cooperative relationship with GE Healthcare Biosciences Co., Ltd. (China). We joined our efforts in developing and marketing HSCCC techniques.
Our Multi-Partitioning-Column HSCCC instruments are researched by ourselves and are under mass production. The performance is quite convincing. As it integrates the functions of separation, purification and preparation, it is a great tool for academic institutes, colleges and pharmaceutical or biotechnical enterprises. Using HSCCC we have produced about 100 kinds of APIs of natural products with purities above 99%. On industrialization of HSCCC technology we build a bulk drug production line of Huperzine A, which has an annual productivity of 20 kilograms. Tauto is taking the leading role in the research and application of HSCCC in global range.
