Description:
The LIU receive path recovers the data and clock, decodes HDB3, and attenuates the clock jitter. The LIU transmit path completes coding HDB3, generating E1 pulse and driving line
The framer can receive and transmit data independently, support the E1 frame formats including CRC4, FAS, and CAS.
The functions of E1 framer:
- Frames or de-frames CRC4, FAS, and CAS formats
- Extracts and inserts CAS signaling data, Sa and Si bits of CRC4 multi-frame
- Detects and generates Remote and AIS alarms
- Provides programmable output clock for fractional E1, H0, H12 applications
- Counters for bipolar polarity or code violations, CRC4 codeword errors, FAS errors and E bits errors
- Provides 4 read and write modes of CPU interface, including INTEL or MOTOROLA multiplexed and non- multiplexed bus
- Provides 4 separate test loopbacks
