Description:
The
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 couples a 12.2 megapixel , 1/1.72" CCD image
sensor with a 3.6x
optical zoom
lens providing a useful 28mm wide angle. Among other features the Lumix FX100 includes -as you'd expect from a
Panasonic camera - the company's
optical image stabilization
technology.
The FX100 also offers 9-point AF with an assist lamp, and ISO sensitivity from 80 to 1600 with the ability to push this to a maximum of ISO 6400, although it remains to be seen whether such a high sensitivity from a twelve megapixel imager will actually prove useful. Further functions of the
Panasonic DMC-FX100 include a 2.5"
LCD display with 207,000 pixel resolution, a built-in five mode flash, and a range of movie modes including an 848 x 480 pixel mode with 30 frames per second rate.
Images are stored in 27MB of built-in
memory or on Secure Digital / MultiMediaCard media, with compatibility for the newer Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) cards as well. Power for the Lumix FX100 comes courtesy of a 3.7V, 1150mAh Lithium Ion rechargeable battery, rated for 320 pictures to CIPA testing standards
