Chengdu General Rectification Electrical Appliance Research Institute was founded in October 1994. The former Chengdu Rectifier Electric Appliance Plant and Electrical Engineering College of the Southwest Jiaotong University as the initiators establish this college and institute cooperative joint-stock enterprise, with the registered capital of RMB4 million. Our Institute includes the following departments: Director Office, New Product Development Department, Technical Design Center, Complete Appliance Assembly Workshop and the Transformer Manufacturing Workshop, Quality Management Department, Technical Services and the Marketing Department.

Our company specializes in the development and production of high-power anodizing rectifier devices and the complete sets of equipments, high-power electrolytic and electroplating rectifier devices, high stability military power supply, intermediate frequency inverting power supply, and special power supply, programmable logic controller automation control system and so on. Products are widely used in aviation, spaceflight and weapons industry, shipbuilding industry, petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, machine building industry and other industries. Our products are distributed throughout the country and some products have been exported to the United States, Singapore, Vietnam, Iran and other countries.

In recent years, our institute cooperated with Moscow Far East Aviation Technology Research Institute. With the basis of learning and using their advanced technology, we developed the SMD-II plasma differential of arc oxidation power supply which is a representative of the contemporary international advanced technology. This power supply used Germany Siemens programmable logic controller control system and high-power IGBT control technology from the Moscow Far East Aviation Technology Research Institute, and DSP ultra-large-scale integrated circuits of the United States National Semiconductor Corporation. Products have high technological quality which can debug simply and have strong anti-jamming ability. It is in a leading level in our country.

In 2004, the SMD-II plasma differential of arc oxidation power supply again is recognized by the state ministry of Science and Technology as "the State Torch Program." Chairman of China Association for Science and Technology Zhou Guangzhao, the State Minister of Science and Technology Xu Guanhua and municipal leaders have visited us and given guidance for our work. They have given us full recognition on the outstanding achievements of the innovation in the power and electronics technology field and also made the second saltation a solid foundation.

In 2004, SMD -JDY-type plasma differential of arc oxidation power supply was recognized as the national key new products by the Ministry of Science and Technology and given the certificate. Certificate Number is 2004ED300074. In 2005 SMD -JDY-type plasma differential of arc oxidation power supply was recognized as the new-type practical inventive patented technology. The patented technical certificate's number is 2005ED300074.

Currently, our Institute has developed into a private joint-stock enterprise entity, which integrates science and technology, industry and trade. We can independently design, develop, produce, and manufacture various models and specifications of the power equipments. According to requirements of users, we can also design and manufacture non-standard power equipments, and do the project of programmable logic controller automation control system. Right now our output value reached from RMB20 million to RMB40 million.
