The Dimer Acid is a dicarboxylic acid after polyreaction produce, under the catalyst existence, by two or more C18 unsaturated fatty acids (such as oleic acid, linoleic acid, etc.). The commodity dimer acid is a mixture of C36 dimer mainly, which contains a small amount C54 trimer, and partial isomerization C18 monomer.

Used in gasoline and diesel oil additive, synthesizing lubricating oil, and widely used in coatings such as hydroxy-acid paint, polyurethane coating.
