Low-E
glass is produced by plating a nanometer-level silver layer on high
quality float glass, by means of vacuum magnetron sputtering. It allows the sun's heat and
light to pass through the
glass into the
building. At the same time it blocks heat from leaving the room, reducing heat loss considerably. It may reduce the emissions through the
glass from 0.84 to 0.1; radiant waste heat may be reduced by 90%.
Product characteristics:
Low-E
glass is able to reflect far infrared heat
energy. Similar to normally coated
glass it allows visible
light to pass through, as well as having a low outward reflection value. If it is used as insulating glass, it can help reduce
air conditioning expenses in summer and heating costs in winter. Low-E
glass can only be made into combined
products and has
good soundproofing performance.
