bearing
China is now the world's fourth largest bearing market, after Japan, the USA, and Germany. In 2004, the annual sales of bearings in China reported RMB 44.6 billion(USD 5.4 billion) and the total output reached 4.9 billion sets, a 22.5% and 28% growth respectively as compared with 2003. Among the output, 2.3 billion sets were exported, amount to USD 1.1 billion, a rise of 35.2%. Meanwhile, there was a 7.6% increase in the import. About 1.5 billion sets of bearing products were imported; especially the bearings for the main machinery, low noise sealed bearings for the home appliances, high precision bearings for the aerospace, measuring instruments, CNC machine tools, video recorders, etc., as well as bearings for automobiles. China’s bearing industry will keep on prospering for the continuous national structural adjustments. The formation of the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Bohai economic zones, the reviving of the old industrial base in Northeast China, the implementation of the Western development strategy, and the further development of the high-tech industry will all inject new vigor into the sector.
