A match is a consumable artifact for producing fire under controlled circumstances on demand. A match is typically a wooden stick (usually sold in match boxes) or stiff paper stick (usually sold in matchbooks) coated at one end with a material, the match head, often containing the element phosphorus, that will ignite from the heat of friction if rubbed ("struck") against a suitable surface. The statistics of 57 domestic match factories showed that 70% match factories under a 58.970 million RMB deficit. The whole industry is in deficit time, but there were still good news: innovation in match products received great progress. Some kinds of healthy matches are popular in global market. The year production of China match industry is more than 28-31 million pieces while the consumption keeps in 18-20 million pieces every year, with 40% surplus producing ability. In international market, the match price usually keeps in 8-12 us dollars/box. Few domestic match enterprises have international orders, and the exporting volume is relatively small. Because Chinese matches sell in a low price which is harmed by quality.
