Technology plays a vital role in market expansion, while at the same time, in bringing about a new concept of consumption. This is a universal truth to all industries, including the water filter industry. Water filters are becoming increasingly popular in China as people demand cleaner drinking water. Water dispensers have also become popular, as many older office buildings in China and factories do not have boiled water available. Currently the Chinese water filter industry seems to be full of hustle and bustle under the competition and compromise of the three giants, namely Midea, Angle, Qinyuan. However, problems, such as re-pollution of water dispensers, low quality products and unregulated lower-stream market of tanked water, still exists and poses great challenges towards its further development. The brighter side is, though, that the outlook of the water filter industry is promising and of course, will still be dominated by technology.
