China's demand for bedroom furniture has grown at a fast pace in the past decade. In the next five years, both production and demand will continue to grow. With the reform and open-up, China’s high economic growth has spurred the rapid rising on consumption of bedroom furniture because they are very important and widely used in daily life in modern time. The country’s bedroom furniture consumption has grown rapidly. It is forecast that the Chinese bedroom furniture used by consumers will lead the industry in growth. The total market demand for bedroom furniture is projected to reach 27.91 billion RMB by the 2010, increasing 9.2％ per annum. In 2005, China’s total output of bedroom furniture reached 23.76 billion RMB. Despite of new facility construction and export expansion, China’s bedroom furniture supply will continue to outstrip demand. In 2005, China exported 5.97 billion RMB of bedroom furniture. Then, the country will remain a large exporter of bedroom furniture with China joining the WTO.
