horse racing
The world of horse racing has always been vigilant against abuse of its activities by children. Race track owners and bookmakers do not allow, much less encourage children to take part in events. All parties involved in simulcast wagering follow fairly strict and uniform self-regulation systems to keep children out of their networks. An occasional rogue operator or an exceptionally persistent child who makes false declarations to sneak in to an online gambling operation should not hold the entire horse racing world to ransom! The horse racing industry in China in the last decade has had to temper its pitch with a reference to the fact that gambling is illegal in the mainland, although back in 2004, Connolly was quoted as saying that the betting issue was not an integral factor in the success of the business, with rural regeneration, entertainment and employment also playing their parts.
