What is Stair Nosing or Stair Tread?
Stair Nosings are architecturally designed safety products, essential for owners of buildings where public and employee access occurs by steps. It is also used for stair edge protect in stair parts. All new buildings now should include anti slip stair treads or nosings.
We offer a wide vriety of stair nosings including aluminium or fiberglass materials. Multiple inserts available, such as anti-slip carborundum strips or pvc.
General informaton for Brass Stair Nosing
Material: Solid Brass
Dimensions: 2mm (wall thickness).
Top face: accomodate aluminium oxide color contrasting non slip insert.
Insert:  long service life, Aluminium oxide/ silicon carbide strip.
Insert colors: Black, grey, yellow, blue, luminescent (glow in dark), white, red, custom.
Location: Exterior and interior stair nosing
Fixation: Mechanical, adhesive or screw-in fixation.
Length: 3 meter or cut to size. 
Notes: Strong sturdy construction, durable, high slip resistance. 
Heavy duty insert provides years of service.

About Carborundum Insert(optional)
Silicon carbide (SiC), also known as carborundum, is a compound of silicon and carbon with chemical formula SiC.
Silicon carbide powder has been mass-produced for use as an abrasive.
Grains of silicon carbide can be bonded together by sintering to form very hard ceramics that are widely used in applications requiring high endurance, such as interior or exterior stair steps, commercial centers and industrial applications.
Material: Aluminium 6063 T5
T5 temper 6063 has an ultimate tensile strength of at least 20,000 psi (152 MPa) in thicknesses up to 0.5-inch (13 mm), and 19,000 psi (145 MPa) from 0.5 to 1.0-inch (25 mm) thick, and yield strength of at least 14,000 psi (110 MPa) up to 0.5-inch (13 mm) and 13,000 psi (103 MPa) (from 0.5 to 1.0-inch (25 mm). It has elongation of 8%.
