Bare Thermocouple Wires

Thermocouple alloys of type KX (CHROMEL-ALUMEL) mainly be used to make thermocouple extension wire and thermocouple wire.

Type KCB Thermocouple Compensating alloys are a cost effective, direct substitution for type KX thermocouple extension cable used for connecting type K thermocouples to temperature measuring instruments. The conductors use lower cost materials which have the same ambient thermal EMF relation ship to that of the thermoelement. KCB thermocouple compensating cables provide the same accuracy of measurement as standard KX thermocouple extension cables.

Thermocouple is the most adapted method for measuring temperatures, sometimes the only available method. Thermocouples are among others used for jet aero engines, industrial furnaces and other industrial heat treatment (measurement and control of temperature).
