REFILLING BUTANE TANK:
1. Shake ultra-pure butane canister to enhance outlet pressure….requires 3.6 to 4.2 MP = megapascals or 580 PSI = pounds per square inch]. Invert the lighter and press outlet nozzle of butane canister against lighter tank port in center of the adjustment valve. Both lighter and butane canister should be vertical.
2. Press the butane canister down firmly and release pressure several times to fill lighter. There should be a faint "hiss" as gas enters the lighter tank. Butane liquid should be visible in the sight glass on the side of the lighter. Tilt lighter back and forth to see a bubble in the liquid butane.
3. Once full, let the lighter sit for five minutes before use…to allow any butane on the outside of the lighter to evaporate away !!!
Note: According to the principle of internal air pressure structure of lighters, the maximum filling capacity of all lighters is about 70% of the total capacity.
