The Vine tea plant is one kind of rare typical tea plant, called as dragon-boat tea, dragon-whisker tea, young stem and leaf from Ampelopsis gross dental, a plant growing in 1300-1950m hillside shrub or valley woodland, always be considered as a legendary healthy tea. Researches show that vine tea can relieve inflammatory, mixture cough and antitussives, it also has a strong inhibitory effect on common bacteria that can be found in food.Dihydromyricetin (DHM) is a natural extract of the vine tea plant. DHM has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine as a hangover cure and intoxication blocker.
Some of the flavonoids, for example, Ampelopsin and Dihydromyricetin, are the main active ingredients in vine tea, which have almost the same MIC and MBC comparing with berberine, and have high Free radical scavenging activity varies between 73.3~91.5%.
