During the operation of wet desulfurization, due to factors such as slurry quality, flue gas dust removal efficiency, and fuel injection combustion assistance etc., it is easy to experience virtual high liquid level, bubble overflow in the absorption tower overflow pipeline, and mild pollution of the tower wall. Increasing the flushing frequency of the demister and blocking the heat ex-changer can lead to severe consequences such as slurry poisoning and inability to ensure desulfurization efficiency. What's more, gypsum rain has formed around the factory, seriously affecting the safe operation of the desulfurization system and even the power plant. Based on years of practical experience in thermal power plants and multiple improvements, our company has launched the defoamer product MT 4060. This product has a low dosage, fast defoaming speed, and long foam suppression time, which can effectively prevent the overflow of the absorption tower slurry, and does not react chemically with any substances in the slurry with strong stability, acid resistance, and high temperature resistance, non toxic, non corrosive, and free from adverse side effects.
Adding method: in order to effectively and quickly eliminate foam, defoamer should be added to the pit of process supplemental water. Then, based upon the on-site equipment conditions, intermittent dosing or continuous dosing with a metering pump can be selected.
Dosage: The dosage and method of adding defoamer are determined based on the composition of the substance causing foaming, the amount of flue gas, coal quality and combustion process and the amount of absorbent. However, in general, when there is foaming overflow in the absorption tower, 0.5-1.0 kg of the reagent can be added in a one-time impact manner, and then adjusted according to the on-site situation.
