Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is an advanced active emission control technology system that injects liquid reducing agent (urea) into the exhaust stream of diesel engines through a special catalyst. SCR catalyst can remove nitrogen oxides from diesel vehicles. During the SCR process, the reducing agent reacts with NOX to convert pollutants into nitrogen, water, and trace amounts of carbon dioxide, which are then discharged through the vehicle exhaust.
