a sterile closed environment
·Distributes whole blood into three parts after centrifugation:

red blood cell conentrates, preventing lots of ill-reaction in transfusion and reducing implant-anti
-host and virus diseases from non-self's white blood cells.

· Red cells recovery ≥ 85%
