The Downhole Navigation System GYRO Inclinometer North Seeking Continuous Fiber Optics Gyro for Deep Oil/Gas Logging uses a high performance 3-Axis Aerospace Fibers Optics sensor which allows the tool to perform North Seeking Azimuth measurements for well inclinations up to 90 deg as well as continuous Azimuth reading while tool is moving.
The Fiber Optics sensor is a very stable technology that does not require periodical calibration as the sensor characteristics do not shift with time resulting in a very reliable system for operation.
The system delivers accurate and reliable information of the wellbore trajectory, it requires less north seeking time compared to similar systems and has better mechanical specifications resulting in better shock and vibration resistance.
