African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) Real Time RT-PCR Kit is used for the detection of african swine fever virus (ASFV) by using real time PCR systems. African swine fever virus (ASFV) is the causative agent of African swine fever (ASF). The kit contains a specific ready-to-use system for the detection of the african swine fever virus (ASFV). Fluorescence is emitted and measured by the real time systems' optical unit during the PCR.
Diagnosis:
The clinical symptoms of ASFV infection are very similar to classical swine fever, and the two diseases normally have to be distinguished by laboratory diagnosis. This diagnosis is usually performed by an ELISA, real time PCR or isolation of the virus from either the blood, lymph nodes, spleen, or serum of an infected pig.
