The main parts of flat die pellet mill are two rotating rollers and a stationary pellet die. When the machine works, the rotating roller will press material into the die hole of the stationary die. There are two highlights of pellet mill driven by rotating rollers. One is that this design can prolong pellet mill service life, the other is it make wood pellets more smooth and solid.

4, Granulators are mainly divided into two categories according to their uses:

  1. Feed pellet machine: It includes ring mold feed pellet machine, flat mold feed pellet machine and roller feed pellet machine, which are mainly used to produce various feed pellets, such as small poultry pellets, fish feed pellets, rabbit feed pellets, pig feed pellets, etc.
  2. Straw pelletizer: This is a device that uses crop straw or sawdust as the main raw material. The cylindrical pellets produced by the straw pelletizing mechanism can be used as biomass fuel or livestock feed.
 

5,The use of flat die pelletizers has the following advantages:

  1. Simple structure, wide applicability, small footprint, low noise.
  2. Powdered feed and grass powder can be granulated without (or with a small amount of) liquid addition. The moisture content of the granular feed is basically the same as that of the material before granulation, making it easier to store.
  3. The particles produced have high hardness, smooth surface, and sufficient internal maturity, which can improve the digestion and absorption of nutrients, as well as kill common pathogenic microorganisms and parasites. They are suitable for raising rabbits, fish, ducks, and laboratory animals, and can achieve higher economic benefits than mixed powdered feed.
  4. Adapt to different materials to ensure the effect of pressing.
  5. The diameter of the flat pressing wheel is not limited by the mold, which can increase the space for installing bearings. Selecting large bearings increases the bearing capacity of the pressing wheel, which not only improves the pressing force of the pressing wheel, but also extends its service life.
6,The working principle of the flat die granulator is based on mechanical circular motion, using an electric motor or diesel engine as a power source, and transmitting it to the spindle through a pulley and rubbing the pressure wheel with the flat die. The friction temperature between the pressure wheel and the template is greater than 80ºC, causing the wood chips to gelatinize and condense through high temperature. Under the extrusion of the pressure wheel, the material is extruded from the flat die hole, and after being segmented by a cutting knife, the particles roll out from the discharge port.
