Milrinone injection

It  is used for the treatment of acute and chronic refractory congestive heart failure caused by various reasons, such as digitalis, diuretics, vasodilators, which are ineffective or ineffective.

Indication

Usage and dosage

Intravenous injection: load 25-75 μ g / kg, 5-10 minutes of slow intravenous injection, after every minute 0.25-1.0 μ g / kg maintenance.
The maximum daily dose shall not exceed 1.13mg/kg.

Oral: 2.5-7.5mg once, 4 times a day.

  Adverse reaction

It is less than amrinone. A few have headache, ventricular arrhythmia, weakness, thrombocytopenia and so on.
When overdose, there may be hypotension and tachycardia.
Long term oral administration is no longer used because of its side effects, which can lead to a long-term increase in mortality.
