A large oil storage tank is a container used to store crude oil or other petroleum products, typically with a capacity of over 100 cubic meters. This type of oil storage tank consists of a tank wall, a tank top, a tank bottom, and oil tank accessories.
The basic structure of a large oil storage tank includes the following parts:
Tank wall: The tank wall is a critical part that bears hydrostatic pressure and is usually constructed with a thin-walled shell structure. The longitudinal weld seam of the tank wall ring plate is generally butt welded, while the circumferential weld seam varies depending on the capacity. Large capacity oil tanks are generally mixed.
Tank roof: The design of the tank roof needs to consider sealing performance and fire resistance to ensure safe use.
Tank bottom: The tank bottom is usually designed in the form of a flat bottom or a floating roof, depending on the application scenario and process requirements of the oil storage tank.
Oil tank accessories: including ladders (or straight ladders), hydraulic safety valves, etc., which help improve the safety and operational convenience of oil storage tanks.
