To test to the brush cap or in the area of the brush cap,according to CSA C22.2 No 71.2 clause 7.10.2&7.10.3.
All tools shall withstand a single impact of 1.4J,applied by a 6.35 mm diameter steel sphere,to the brush cap or in the area of the brush cap of electric bench tools.
The actuating mechanism of switches and controls shall be subjected to three impacts of 1.4J,each from a 6.35 mm diameter steel sphere.
