Fluorite is one of the most common minerals in nature can coexist with other minerals, and it is produced in many places in the world, and there are 5 effective varieties. The main component of equiaxed crystal system is calcium fluoride (CaF2). The fluorite stone can glow under the condition of friction, heating, ultraviolet radiation, etc.
There are two principal commercial grades of fluorspar: Metallurgical grade (60-96% CaF2) and acid grade (+97% CaF2).

Acid grade fluorspar accounts for approximately 60-65% of total fluorspar production with the principal applications being:
(1)Aluminium production - used to produce aluminium fluoride (ALF3) which acts as a flux to lower the bath temperature in the manufacture of aluminium.
(2) Manufacture of hydrofluoric acid (HF) - the primary source of all fluorochemicals (the single largest consumer of fluorspar).
