he rotary piston of MR actuator has two fixed vanes and operates in a double area actuator housing.
The rotary piston of MR actuator has two fixed vanes and operates in a double area actuator housing. Bothbearings & actuator chambers are special plastic coated. Non-contact micro gaps act as seals between the rotarypiston and housing. Free from sliding friction and wear, no backlash, Great frequency response is suitable fordynamic test at high frequency.
Hydrostatic rotary cylinders convert hydraulic energy, controlled by servo valves, into mechanical energy. They are used in servo-hydraulically controlled equipment for material testing, i.e. they serve to stress material samples, components and other test objects with adjustable static or dynamic (oscillating) torques or torsional vibrations.
Features
.Basic design as compact closed round housing. On the drive side, the mounting flange ring and the rotary lobe flange are arranged. This basic design allows for a coaxial clamping principle of the test specimen and drive to support the torque on one axis when rotating rotary cylinders are used (balancing).
High functional reliability due to cylinder design with non-contact, plastic-coated gap seals between housing and rotary piston. Therefore ensures good emergency running characteristics and also suitable for
high test frequencies (max.200Hz). Additional seals of the piston shaft in the outer bearings. The leakage oil produced in small quantities is extracted by a leakage oil pump unit.
.No mechanical play, therefore no adverse influence on the test control at zero clearance in alternating operation.
· Equipped with hydraulic end position dampers for both directions of rotation.
Rated torque, dynamic characteristics, power diagram
The nominal torque Mn is achieved for all rotary cylinder sizes when the effective hydraulic pressure on the piston surfaces attacks about 265 bar. In continuous operation during vibration or vibration resistance tests, the rotary cylinders generate a dynamic full load Mdyn=0.8, that is 80% of the rated torque. The effective hydraulic pressure is about 210bar.
The characteristic dynamic data can be found in the performance diagram. The example below shows the basic structure of this diagram with 4-logarithmic coordinates. The amplitudes of angular displacement, angular velocity and angular acceleration with sinusoidal oscillating torque of the piston are applied in each case.
