1. General introduction to UNS N06625 (Inconel 625)
Inconel 625, with UNS designation of N06625 and DIN designation of W.Nr. 2.4856, is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with an addition of niobium that acts with the molybdenum to siffen the alloy's martix and thereby provide high strength without a strengthening heat treatment. Inconel 625 alloy resists a wide range of severely corrosive environments and is especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.
