Insulation Tool Performance Test
1.Dielectric Test
After storing tools underwater the 1000V test is conducted.
Duringthe test, no puncture, sparkover and fiashover.
2.Flame Retarancy test
The testing flame shall act upon the hand tool to be tested 10s. Thetest shall be considered as passed if the flame height on the hand toodoes not exceed 120mm during the 20s of the observation period(withdraw of testing flame).
3.lmpact Test At Extreme Low Temperatures
Hand tools of category "C"shall be conditioned in a coolincchamber for 2h at -40°C. After test , no breaks,exfoliation andcracks. (falling height 0.6 m).
4. Adhesion Test
The insulation must not come loose or slacken when under 2tensile load for 3 minutes after 168 hours in a climatic chamber at+70°C.
5. Indentation Test
After being stored for 2 hours at a temperature of 70°C, with apressure load of 20 N and a 3-minute measurement under 5.000 Vthere must be no punctures or arcing in the insulation.
6.Marking Durability Test
The marking is rubbed for 15 seconds with a rag soaked in wateand then for 15 seconds with a rag soaked in isopropylalcoholAfterward the marking shall still be legible.
