A portable cable reel drive device which is removeably and adjustably attachable to large reels of varying widths and diameters
having heavy metal cable or the like.

The device includes a portable drive shaft having an adjustable reel hub engaging means, a hanger assembly for mounting and
coupling the device to the reel itself, a shaft supporting device for supporting the shaft above ground and a tie down means for
connecting and holding the shaft in place when it is being driven.
