According to different classification standards, staple fiber can be divided into different categories. According to the raw material, it can be divided into primary staple fiber and recycled staple fiber. According to the different spinning production processes, virgin staple fiber is divided into two types: melt direct spinning and intermittent spinning. Melt direct spinning staple fiber is made of PTA and ethylene glycol as raw materials. After producing polyester melt, it is directly spun and cut to form staple fiber without going through the process of producing polyester chips. At present, the production of conventional varieties of staple fibers in China basically adopts melt direct spinning technology. Intermittent spinning, also known as chip spinning, is a process of producing fibers from PET chips. Compared with the melt direct spinning process, the intermittent spinning reduces the polyester device, increases the chip drying and melting device, and the subsequent process is basically the same.
