Product Description
Product Description

Anhydrous taphole clay is a refractory material used for Submerged arc furnace or sealing and protecting the taphole of a blast furnace. It is mainly composed of inorganic non-metallic materials, organic binders and additives, and has excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Compared with traditional taphole clay, anhydrous taphole clay has higher strength and stability, can effectively extend the service life of the taphole and reduce production costs.

Application

Iron And Steel Industry

Refractory material is an important material used in the steel industry. It is mainly used in the lining of steelmaking furnaces, ironmaking furnaces, bearing and transporting ladles of ladles for slag and slag, As well as the lining of the flue and blast furnace body that conducts the heat. So, simply, we can think of it as a structural material.

Glass Idustry

Refractory material is the main building material of glass melting furnace, which has the decisive influence on glass quality, energy consumption and even product cost. The development of glass melting technology relies heavily on the progress and quality improvement of refractory manufacturing technology.

The waterless taphole mud of blast furnace is mainly used in the following scenarios:

(1) Sealing of blast furnace taphole: prevent molten iron from overflowing and ensure the normal operation of blast furnace.

(2) Taphole protection: protect the taphole from being washed and eroded by high-temperature and high-pressure molten iron.

(3) Taphole repair: repair cracks, wear and other defects in the taphole.

Product Parameters

Characteristics of anhydrous taphole mud for blast furnace taphole

Good high temperature resistance: anhydrous taphole mud can still maintain good stability at high temperature and is not easy to soften or melt.

Strong corrosion resistance: anhydrous taphole mud has strong resistance to corrosive substances such as molten iron and slag.

Good wear resistance: anhydrous taphole mud has high strength and hardness and can withstand erosion and wear from molten iron.

Convenient construction: no water needs to be added during the construction of anhydrous taphole mud, which reduces the difficulty of construction.

Excellent environmental protection performance: anhydrous taphole mud does not contain organic solvents and is environmentally friendly.

High economic benefits: anhydrous taphole mud has a long service life and reduces production costs.

Usage of anhydrous taphole mud for blast furnace taphole

Preparation: Before construction, the taphole should be cleaned to ensure that the anhydrous taphole mud can fit tightly with the taphole surface.

Batching: According to the construction requirements, the anhydrous taphole mud raw materials are batched and stirred evenly.

Construction: Apply the prepared anhydrous taphole mud evenly on the taphole surface with a thickness of about 10-20mm.

Maintenance: After the construction is completed, maintenance should be carried out to ensure that the anhydrous taphole mud is tightly combined with the taphole surface.

Use: After the maintenance is completed, the blast furnace tapping operation can be carried out.

Repair: When cracks, wear and other defects appear in the taphole, anhydrous taphole mud can be used for repair.
