Bentonite is a swellable clay waterproofing compound that is glued or nailed in strips into construction joints. Known as a hydrophilic waterstop system, bentonite expands up to sixteen times its dry volume when it comes into contact with water, forming a compression seal in concrete joints. Bentonite's ability to swell enables it to fill small cracks and voids in concrete, preventing the ingress of water around joints. And since clay is a natural material, bentonite is a popular waterstop choice for potable water applications.

• High watertight properties - once exposed to water, PZ waterstop will expand one to five times to fill all irregular surfaces, holes and spacing of surrounding concrete. PN type is one type hydrophilic watertight product made of rubber and other additives, which make it expansible with physical properties without vulcanization molding process, which is the only process different from PZ type, normally choose this type at <350% expansion rate that reducing production cost on base of quality.

PZ type is one type hydrophilic watertight product made of rubber and other additives, which make it expansible with physical properties by through vulcanization molding, but different from general extensibility characteristics and elastic seal water function.It can be water swelling with water with affection of it to make it more reliable than ordinary waterproof materials, normally choose this at >330% expansion rate.
