Stainless steel Prepacked well screen
Prepacked well screen is a prepacked screen providing sand control when conventional gravel packing is not feasible and economical.The filter media pack comes in several thicknesses and is created with the highest quality re-sieved, coated and non-coated gravel, compacted with a unique vibrating system to secure a consistent bond. Both the inner and outer screens shall be constructed of V-shaped wire continuously wrapped around an array of equally spaced support rods of the same material. Each junction of wire/rod contact shall be resistance welded. The screens and end fittings shall be made of steel.

Pre-Pack screens are manufactured with a wire designed to yield a minimum collapse pressure of 1000 PSI at a design slot opening of 0.75 mm. The wire shape shall cause the slot opening to widen inwardly to minimize clogging. The minimum screen tensile strength exceeds 2 times the total Hang Weight of screen and blank casing below the top screen joint. The tensile strength of these screens is around 67500 lb for 8 x 10 inches screens. The inner screen provides 20 % of inlet area of screen at the design slot size of 0.75 mm. The outer screen shall be of the same slot as the inner screen. The slot size and filter pack are to be selected on the basis of a Sieve analysis of the water bearing information
