Fipronil (120068-37-3) is a phenylpyrazole insecticide with a broad insecticidal spectrum. It is mainly gastric toxic to pests, and has both contact and certain systemic effects. Its mechanism of action is It hinders the chloride metabolism controlled by insect γ-aminobutyric acid, so it has high insecticidal activity against important pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, lepidopteran larvae, flies and coleoptera, and has no pesticide damage to crops.

1.Fipronil is a highly active, broad-spectrum insecticide from the phenyl pyrazole family. It can be used against major lepidopterous and orthopterous pests on a wide range of field and horticultural crops and against coleopterous larvae in soil. It is also employed for cockroach and ant control. Toxicity: Rat, LD50, oral Males: 18 mg/kg; Females: 15 mg/kg Rat, LD50, dermal > 2000 mg/kg.
