Product Description

Acrylic acid is an organic compound with the chemical formula of C3H4O2. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent smell, miscible with water, and miscible with ethanol and ether. It has active chemical properties and is easy to polymerize in the air. It can be reduced to propionic acid by hydrogenation, and can be added with hydrogen chloride to generate 2-chloropropionic acid, which is mainly used to prepare acrylic resin.

Acrylic acid is mainly used to produce acrylate in industry, accounting for about 62% of the total consumption of acrylic acid. It is used in construction, paper making, leather, textile, plastic processing, packaging materials, daily chemical industry, water treatment, oil extraction, metallurgy and other fields. In addition, it plays an important role in the field of fine chemical industry. Polypropylene and acrylic copolymer produced with acrylic acid are traditionally only used as dispersant, flocculant and thickener. In the late 1970s, two new application markets of polypropylene and acrylic acid copolymers emerged - super absorbent resin and detergent aid, which provided a bright prospect for expanding the use of acrylic acid and promoted the development of acrylic acid.
