How does an AC compressor clutch work ?
air conditioning clutch is always installed onto compressor.A belt attached to the engine,providing energy for the compressor. The belt turns a
rotor, which has a friction hub (plate) attached to it. Near the rotor is an electromagnet called clutch coil with wire whichproduces a magnetic
field when current is through it.
When the automobile air conditioner is turned on, the compressor needs to operate, an electrical issent to thecompressor clutch and
electromagnet to turn on, which activates the clutch running.
