APET (Amorphous Polyethylene Terephthalate) otherwise known as polyester is quickly becoming a material of
choice amongst plastic film processors due to its exceptional clarity and ease in processing. In addition, polyester material is being used more and more as an environmentally friendly alternative to more traditional plastic materials. Hop Industries is pleased to offer multiple grades of APET for both the thermoforming and printing industries.
APET for Thermoforming
Our thermoforming grade APET combines excellent durability with glass-like clarity, providing our customers with a material that both performs well and is visually appealing. Known for maintaining its rigidity and flexibility even after forming, APET is becoming one of the fastest growing segments in the thermoforming industry. Our thermoforming grade APET is non toxic and FDA approved for direct food contact. It can be processed more quickly and economically than rigid PVC and is an ideal material choice for applications requiring an attractive package with maximum product visibility. In addition, our APET offers outstanding barrier properties which protect the packaged product from external liquids or gases, while at the same time retaining the product's flavors and aromas.

Our APET sheets are widely considered to be the highest quality APET sheets available on the market today. Our specialized surface finish provides our customers with an ease in processing and printing that is unparalleled.
