Product Description
Product Description

Tripropylene Glycol (Acrylate Grade) (TPG Ac) is a high purity tripropylene glycol containing only low levels of carbonyls and peroxides, which makes it ideal for use as a reactive chemical intermediate in the irradiation curing industry.

Tripropylene Glycol is a co-product of the reaction of excess water with propylene oxide at elevated temperatures and pressures to make propylene glycol, a colorless, water-soluble, low-toxicity, low-vapor pressure, moderately viscous, hygroscopic liquid with a slight odor characteristic of diols.

Main Application
·Tripropylene glycol (acrylate grade) is a raw material specifically designed for use in a variety of   irradiation curing formulations. It is commonly esterified with acrylic acid to form tripropylene glycol   diacrylate, an important raw material for the rapidly growing irradiation curing industry. Tripropylene   glycol diacrylate is used as a reactive diluent to reduce the viscosity of the formulation composition prior to   curing. The advantages of irradiation curing for printing inks, varnishes, paints and coatings include: no   post-curing, low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, high energy efficiency, fast processing, small   and compact plant requirements, and good product appearance.

·The acidity, aldehyde content, and peroxide content in tripropylene glycol (acrylate grade) are strictly and   specifically monitored to avoid product color change or operational problems during the synthesis of the   diacrylate. These impurities are controlled in the low ppm range.

·Tripropylene Glycol (Acrylate Grade) is used in industrial applications only.
