Quartz sand filter material is a water treatment filter material made of natural quartz ore through crushing, washing, screening, drying and secondary screening.
Process: Raw materials - crushing - washing - screening - drying - secondary screening - screening - testing - packaging and storage.

There are two main types of commonly used quartz sand filter materials: one is ordinary quartz sand; the other is refined acid-washed sand.




 

 

Quartz sand filter material has the characteristics of high hardness, good corrosion resistance, high density, high mechanical strength, strong pollution interception ability and long service life. It is an ideal material for chemical water treatment.

1. The sum of the crushing rate and wear rate of quartz sand filter material should not be greater than 1.5% (the percentage is calculated by mass, the same below);

2. The density of quartz sand filter material should not be less than 2.55g/cm3. Except for those with special requirements for density during use;

3. Quartz sand filter material should not contain visible soil, mica and organic impurities, and the water leachate of the filter material should not contain toxic substances, and the mud content should not be greater than 1%. The content of light substances with a density less than 2g/cm3 should not be greater than 0.2%;

4. The ignition loss of quartz sand filter material should not be greater than 0.7%, and the hydrochloric acid solubility should not be greater than 3.5%.
In addition, quartz sand is an important industrial mineral raw material and a non-chemical hazardous product. It is widely used in glass, casting, ceramics and refractory materials, smelting ferrosilicon, metallurgical flux, metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, plastics, rubber, abrasives and other industries.
