Zinc electro-winning is the process of electro-deposition of zinc metal on the cathode plate from zinc sulfate solution by applying electrolysis voltage. Zinc is extracted from the purified zinc sulfate solution by electrowinning, which is a specialized form of electrolysis. The zinc to deposit on the cathodes (aluminium sheets / cathode plate) and oxygen to form at the anodes (anode plate). Then the zinc-coated cathodes are removed and rinsed, and the zinc is mechanically stripped from the aluminium cathode plates.
