NPG Batteries
Gel Batteries offer reliable cold cranking (starting power) and maximum power supply with a superior cycling performance. The robust construction ensures the battery will continue to work through the most extreme conditions with a high resistance to vibration. They are exceptionally clean and safe to handle. The battery acid is fixed using gel, making the Gel battery to be inclined to an angle of 180C. Gel batteries incorporate gas recombination technology, ensuring neither gas nor acid vapours are able to escape, making Gel completely maintenance free. A slow self-discharge rate, plus its capability of recovery after deep discharge, makes a Gel battery ideally suited for seasonal or infrequent use.
Our Gel Batteries are basically valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries with a crossbreed of Gel and AGM rechnologies blended together. Aimed directly at the marine, recreational vehicle and solar market, this technology provides better service life, especially deep cycle life and high rates of discharge compared to standard AGM Batteries.

Main Features
♦Electrolyte Uniform Distribution
NPS series battery is manufactured with high-quality gaseous silica to make the electrolyte in uniform distribution.

Curdled gaseous silica used in Gel batteries can immobilize the electrolyte and make the plates react evenly.

Deep Cycle design (high-density active material and thick plates) & special 4BS lead paste technology prolongs the cycle service life.

Unique grid alloys & special positive/negative lead paste formulations makes the battery perform excellent in deep cycle using and recover quickly upon over discharging and extend the float service life.

PerformanceBattery Construction
The Construction of a VRLA battery (all the batteries from our company belong to VRLA battery) is shown above. The following is the description of the different parts consisting of our batteries.
1. Plates (Electrodes)
Plate construction is the Key to produce a good battery. Recognizing this, Koyosonic utilizes the latest technology and equipment to cast grids from a lead-calcium alloy free of antimony. The small amount of calcium and tin in the grid alloy imparts strength to the plate and guarantees durability even in extensive cycle service. Lead oxide paste is added to the grid to form the electrically electrically active material. In the charged state, the negative plate paste is pure lead and that of the Positive lead oxide. Both of these are in a porous or spongy form to optimize surface area and thereby maximize capacity.
2. Separators
The separator is made of woven glass fiber cloth with high heat and oxidation resistance. The material further offers superior electrolyte absorption and retaining ability, as well as excellent ion conductivity.
3. Electrolyte
Immobilized dilute sulfuric acid: H2SO4
4. Container
Case material is a ABS, a high-impact proof plastic resin, Styrene, or a polypropylene-polyethylene polymer with resistance to chemicals and flammability. For 2V, 4V, 6V, 8V and 12V batteries, standard container is manufactured from ABS plastic resin (UL94HB). It is optional to use Flame Retardant ABS plastic resin (UL94V0). Each cell has 2v in voltage and 4v battery has 2 cells. 6v battery has 3 cells, 8v battery has 4 cells and 12V battery has 6 cells.
5. Terminals
Depending on the battery model, the terminals may be Fastern type, bolt-and-nut type, pressure-contact type, cable-and-connector type or other special types. Some are threaded-insertion type or bolt-and-nut type.
6. Relief Valve
In case of excessive gas pressure build-up inside the battery (usually caused by abnormal charging) the relief valve will open and relieve the pressure. The one-way valve ont only ensures that no air gets into the battery where the oxygen would react with the plates causing internal discharge, but also represents an important safety device in the event of excessive overcharge. Vent release pressure is between 2-6 PSI and the seal ring material is neoprene rubber.
7. Case sealing
The case sealing is tongue and groove with polyrethane, epoxy, or heat seal. The ABS plastic cover and container are sealed by a special epoxy made in Japan and is acid resistant.
