The principle of a split type ultrasonic level gauge is to measure the time required for the entire process of an ultrasonic pulse from emission to return.
The ultrasonic level gauge is installed vertically on the surface of the liquid and emits an ultrasonic pulse to the liquid surface. After a period of time, the sensor of the ultrasonic level gauge receives a signal reflected back from the liquid level, which is then selected and processed by the transmitter circuit. Calculate the distance from the liquid level to the sensor based on the time difference between the ultrasonic level gauge emitting and receiving ultrasonic waves.
Split type ultrasonic level gauges are widely used for measuring the liquid level and volume of tanks, water tanks, and reservoirs, as well as for flow measurement in open channels.
