4300Gs 5'' magnet separator for pipeline cleaniing pigs
The neodymium magnets have higher remanence, coercivity, and energy product, increasing magnetic force and making the product more compact. But they are sensitive to oxidation and require surface treatment, like NiCuNi.
NdFeB magnets are available in various temperature ratings, from 80-220ºC. The specific application determines the choice between ambient and high-temperature magnets. The current range of magnet materials for pipeline cleaning pigs includes grades N35 and N42 (80°C), N52 (60°C), N50M and N52M (100°C), N40H, N48H to N52H (120°C).
While expensive, the benefits of utilizing neodymium magnets on pipeline cleaning pigs far outweigh the cost, as they can remove ferrous debrisfrom a pipeline, ensuring the line is ready for an In-Line Inspection.
Ferrite magnets are another type of permanent magnet used in cleaning pigs, with low cost and high corrosion resistance. Though not as powerful as neodymium magnets, their high coercivity and low cost make them ideal for high temperature applications.
The most common shape of the permanent magnets we currently produce for pig accessories is in block form. However, if you require segment or round magnets, we can customise them to your specific requirements.
