500L K Type Heating Jacket Ms Glass Lined Reactor Special for Making AKD Neutral Sizing Agent AKD Emulsion

AKD neutral sizing agent is a white emulsion made of alkyl ketene dimer (AKD for short) and cationic surfactant as raw materials, emulsified by a homogenization process. It is a white emulsion suitable for medium alkaline (pH 7.5) ~8.5) Reactive sizing agent made under paper conditions. It is widely used in the production of various medium-sized paper, photographic base paper, fruit bag paper, packaging paper and cardboard.

AKD emulsion has become the most used paper sizing agent in China.





How to make it?

1.Raw materials:
(1)Alkyl Ketene Dimer(CAS No.:84989-41-3),90.0% purity;
(2)AKD emulsifier:25.0% purity;
(3)Stabilizer:CAS No.:13520-92-8,36.0% purity;
(4)Biocide:CAS No.:26172-55-4/2682-20-4,14.0% purity.

3.Equipment for making AKD emulsion by glass lined reactor:
1)1# wax melting tank:you can choose the glass lined tank or stainless steel tank,with heating jacket:500L;
2)2# Emulsifying tank:you can choose the glass lined tank or stainless steel tank,it should be equipped with high shearing emulsifying machine(7.5KW/11KW),with heating jacket:500L;
3)3# Storage tank:you can choose the glass lined tank or stainless steel tank,with heating jacket:500L;
4)High pressure homogenizer;
5)plate heat exchanger
6)4# finished product tank:you can choose the glass lined tank or stainless steel tank,with heating jacket:2/3000L;
7)Filter:
8)Cooling system.

4.How to make?
Process:
1.Put 125kgs AKD wax into 1# tank,and heat it to be melt down under 70-75 Celsius,stir it for 2 minutes if necessary.

2.Put 130kg AKD Emulsifier and 130kg water into 2# tank,and open the high shearing mixer to keep stiring for 2minutes and heat the solution.

Before the temperature reaches 80 Celsius, you can open the stirrer again for 2-3 times.

3.When the temperature of materials in 2# tank reaches 80 Celsius,open the stirrer at first,then put the 125kg melted wax into 2# tank.

Keep stirring for 20minutes,to make sure that the solution is milky white emulsion,no yellow oily particle on the surface of solution.

4.Let the materials flow into filter and homogenizer,open homogenizer immediately,and adjust the low pressure stable at 8.0 Mpa,and high pressure stable at 25.0 Mpa,the materials from the homogenizer was flowed into 3# tank(stock tank),meanwhile,when the materials in filter will be finished soon,let the materials in3#tank flow into filter,then adjust the high pressure at 28.0 Mpa for homogenizing twice.
