Zinc oxide
Zinc oxide is made from zinc slag (a by-product of zinc smelting). In this method, the zinc containing material is heated directly in the furnace in the presence of oxygen. The zinc in the slag reacts with oxygen to form zinc oxide.This method is more cost-effective than indirect methods and is typically used for large-scale industrial applications.
