Introduction
Xanthan Gum is a premium quality, powdered xanthan gum used in most waters regardless of salinity or hardness. It is dispersible, non-clarified, high-molecular-weight biopolymer. Xanthan Gum can provide excellent suspension and shear-thinning properties and be used up to 250°F. Xanthan Gum is subject to bacterial degradation, and treatments with biocide is recommended to prevent fermentation. At mud pH values above 10.0, Xanthan Gum becomes more sensitive to soluble calcium and may be precipitated out of solution, however, it can be added to most waters regardless of salinity.Applications/Functions

Recommended Treatment
A typical range is 0.1-2 ppb. Xanthan Gum can be mixed directly into the system through the hopper at a rate of 20-25mins per sack. Maximum shear assures quick hydration and avoids lumping and formation of "fish eyes"Package
