- A casing pipe is a hollow steel tube that is typically rammed into place through the earth by using a hydraulic or pneumatic jack.
After being driven, the displaced soil is removed and the product pipe, or carrier pipe, is inserted inside the steel tube.

Steel Grade:H40/J55/K55/N80/ L80/C90/T95/P110/Q125/V150 - API Tubing and its coupling made and checked in the company are in full accordance with API Spec 5CT.In the mean time, the product was authorized to use API Spec 5 CT monogram.
The kinds of the tubing made in the company are as follows: 2 3/8in, 2 7/8in and 3 1/2in NU and EU tubing of J55, K55,N80 ,L80 and P110 steel grade. After upsetting, the tubing endures full-length heat treatments. The heat treatment procedure is controlled by computers. Tubing production capacity is 100,000 ton per year and the upsetting and heat treatment capacity is800,000 ton per year.
With a perfect management system for tubing quality, the company got ISO9001 quality system certificate from Classification Society of China and got ISO9001 quality system certificate from API.Tubing and its coupling is one of main products to be covered with the quality system. In the mean time, the product was also authorized to use API Spec 5 CT monogram. The product is stable and reliable in quality, characteristic data are in accordance with the requirement of API Spec 5 CT specification for Casing and Tubing and API Std.5B Specification for Machining, Measurement.

How Does Casing Work?
Once a well has been drilled, if it is to become a production well, the well must undergo completion. While drilling a well cuts through the rock formations and allows drilling engineers to reach the reservoir below, the raw sides of the well cannot support themselves. Similar to the bones of your spine protecting the spinal cord, casing is tubing that is set inside the drilled well to protect and support the wellstream.
In addition to providing stabilization and keeping the sides of the well from caving in on themselves, casing protects the wellstream from outside contaminants, as well as any fresh water reservoirs from the oil or gas that is being produced.
Also known as setting pipe, casing a well involves running steel pipe down the inside of a recently drilled well. The small space between the casing and the untreated sides of the well is filled with cement to permanently set the casing in place.
