Description of wire rope
1. Basic structure
Steel wire: made of high carbon steel cold drawn, the surface can be galvanized or plastic coated to improve corrosion resistance.
Strand: multiple steel wires twisted into one strand around the center wire, common structures are 6 strands, 8 strands, etc.
Rope core (Core): divided into fiber core (FC, soft but poor high temperature resistance) and steel core (IWRC, high strength, high temperature resistance).
2. Classification
According to twisting direction: right cross-twisting (ZS), left cross-twisting (SZ), same direction twisting, etc.
According to application: general-purpose wire rope, elevator rope, mine hoisting rope, etc.
According to surface treatment: glossy, galvanized, plastic coated (PVC/PE), etc.
